8,848 pairs of socks donated during Socktober 2016

The numbers for Socktober 2016 are in and they're absolutely staggering.

  • 37 total groups participated
  • 23 different charities were given donations
  • 8,848 pairs of new socks were raised for the homeless

Let's repeat that last one — 8,848 pairs of new socks we're collected and donated to the less fortunate. That number is amazing and honestly, inspiring. Last year's record of 687 pairs was not only shattered collectively, but surpassed by 4 different individuals/groups alone.

Needless to say, 2016 was by far our best Socktober to date, so thank you to all who made it possible. From the Boy Scouts Heart of America Council to the Girl Scouts of NE Kansas/NW Missouri to our corporate groups VinSolutions, Go Local Interactive and the individual participants, bless you all. You made positive change on our communities, you made a difference in other lives and above all else, you made our world a better place.
