There's currently more than 3.5 million people experiencing homelessness each year in the United States — 3.5 million. And we all know winter can be very harsh in Kansas City, sometimes even deadly. So join us as we work again this year to save lives with our 5th annual Socktober clothes drive.
It’s simple. Throughout the month of October collect new pairs of socks and any other items you wish to donate. Get your church involved, hold a drive at the office or tell all your friends via social media. Upon signing-up below, each group will then be assigned a local homeless shelter, where the socks and other items can be dropped off after October 31.
Last year’s we collected 8,868 new pairs of socks, setting a new record, so we hope to beat that in 2017. If you have any questions, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org. Now let’s collect some socks Kansas City and as Kid President would say, “Do something amazing!”
